Carl Miller is owner and master Leather Maker at Hand+Built Leather Goods. He is a true American craftsman whose passion for his art shines through in every piece he creates, designing leather goods which are functional, attractive and will also last a lifetime. He believes in traditional leather making techniques, translated for the modern day consumer.

At 70 years old, Carl has had a long and varied career which has taken him from growing up on a farm to serving in the Army to woodworking and leather making. Fifty years as a small business owner have taught him the value of hard work and dedication. This shows in the very folds of his hands, which reflect the ten thousand hours he’s spent working with leather. Carl is a devoted family man – a husband, father, grandfather and a good friend.
