Handiwork Beginnings
My business began in the summer of 2015. As a young girl in highschool I had always loved to draw and create, but I had no idea how to use my talent to really bring my art from the state of being immature to its full maturity and professionalism. I took three art classes in highschool and discovered the art of colored pencils with the help of my art teacher. Most of the drawing prints in my shop from colored pencils were completed in my highschool career as well as the first year or so of college.
Throughout my entire highschool and college career I had my heart and mind set on going to physical therapy school after graduating with my bachelors degree, but I realized that my heart should really be set on using my art and creativeness to make others happy. The Lord led me in a different direction and I had peace about the whole situation. I thought most people would probably think I was crazy, but I had to trust that this was for me and that I was moving in the right direction.
The name of my business "Handiwork210" is based off of a dream I had after I asked the Lord where he wanted this business to go and where he was leading me. It comes from the verse Ephesians 2:10 which states, "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." We are the Lord's handiwork and I plan on using this business to bless him and my family.
