OUR STORY

HandmadeByAVO is a small mother-and-daughter family business inspired by my personal experience with sensitive skin.

Growing up with atopic dermatitis taught me how important it is to choose fabrics that feel gentle against the skin. My mother is a skilled seamstress with over 30 years of experience. She carefully selected skin-friendly fabrics and created comfortable, practical items for me. This experience inspired us to establish HandmadeByAVO in 2019.

Today, every item is handmade in our family workshop in South Korea. From selecting fabrics and cutting to sewing and packaging, we carefully handle every step of the process. Our goal is to create thoughtful, comfortable pieces that can be enjoyed for years to come.

Care instructions

Hand washing in cold or lukewarm water is recommended to preserve the softness and shape of the gauze fabric. If machine washing, place the item in a laundry bag and use a gentle cycle with mild detergent.

Please do not use bleach or fabric softener. Air dry naturally and avoid high heat, as cotton gauze may shrink. The fabric may become softer and develop its natural crinkled texture after washing.

Sizing details

Each item is individually cut and sewn by hand. Because of the handmade process and the natural characteristics of the fabric, the finished size may vary slightly from the measurements listed. Minor differences in size, shape, stitching, and pattern placement are part of the unique character of a handmade item and are not considered defects.

Returns, exchanges, and cancellations

Because each item is handmade or made to order, we generally cannot accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect size selection, or minor variations inherent in handmade products.

Cancellation requests are accepted only before production begins. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us promptly with photos so we can assist you.
