    Growing up in Osaka, and I have used Sakai's knives for many years. After moving to America, I felt the importance of Japanese tradition and technique, and Hasu-Seizo began with the desire to let you know the tradition of this Japanese Sakai knife.

    Echizen, Japan

    This knife maker is Sawakazuma from Echizen city, Fukui which is located along the Sea of Japan. Echizen knives have a long history, dating back 700 years. While Japanese knives as a whole are typically designed with thinner blades than their European counterparts.

  • Nagao Kanekoma Seisakusho

    Miki, Japan

    Presently, Nagao Kanekoma Seisakusho is the only company authorized to use the "Higonokami" trademark.
