My shop is all about designing and creating quality products using as many natural materials as I can - and I LOVE wool! There are some beautiful silky soft wools out there and I can spend hours in a wool shop choosing which new colours to knit with next.

I have always loved creating things from scratch and crafting. I weave willow baskets, love to draw and paint, and experiment with my mum’s old Singer sewing machine making clothes for my little girl. I first started knitting in my teens and rediscovered knitting a few years ago before my baby girl was born.

From a lovely soft multicoloured end piece of wool, I made her first CatHat, and she wore it all of the next winter. I went on to knit her a BabyBeanie. I started adding the owlie and flower decorations, then came up with the LongTallAlleyCat. I am currently working out how to knit a cuddly cow! My workshop is currently anywhere I can find, I will use any spare time I can find to knit a hat, including in the car.

The hats I create are designed to be unique, each is one of a kind - although I can of course knit duplicates on request. I also specialise in a multitude of colours - when it came to buying clothes for my baby, I was fed up with trying to find clothes and hats that weren’t the typical baby pink and baby blue, so here I use all the colours of the rainbow! Hopefully there is something here for everybody, and I design all my hats based on comfort for my own baby - I wouldn’t sell what I wouldn’t dress her in myself.
