Namaste! Welcome to the Haushala Women's Cooperative, based in Lalitpur, Nepal. We employ women from a variety of challenging backgrounds and encourage them to build social and financial independence by knitting and sewing. We also incorporate our Nepali culture into our items through Dhaka, the traditional Nepali fabric that we use for our colorful patterns.

Our cooperative model is unique: half of each item's profit returns to the woman who handmade it, and the other half funds education for underprivileged children. This half supports Life Vision Academy, a creative boarding school nearby in Nepal's Kathmandu Valley. Some of these students are our own children, and all of these students wouldn't be able to access education if it weren't for Life Vision Academy.

Join us in encouraging women's strength, gender equality, education, and the art of making items handmade!
