Hi, I’m Jennie, and am so glad you’re here! Not so long ago it would be crazy for me to think that today I’d be selling my crocheted pieces and have my own handmade business. I taught myself to crochet with YouTube videos and a lot of practice. Learning to crochet wasn’t easy at first, but I instantly developed an attraction, almost an addiction, to this intriguing fiber art. It wasn’t long before it had become my favorite hobby and true passion. I love keeping my hands busy and the ritualistic, calming effect it has on me, but what excites me the most about it is that with just some yarn and a hook I can create something tangible and unique that can be used and loved by someone else. It’s truly satisfying to me and I’m left with a sense of accomplishment and purpose. And what’s even more exciting is to transform my passion for crochet into a money-making business, because it’s what I truly love to do.

I took a leap of faith and started Heartstrings Crochet, October of 2018. I chose the name HEARTSTRINGS Crochet for my business for several reasons. ‘Heart’ because I love crochet and pour my heart and soul into it; ‘Strings’ because the yarn I work with resembles strings; so, I ‘love yarn’ essentially. Also because the pretty things I make may pull at your ‘heartstrings’ and entice you to want something beautifully handmade for yourself or someone else. My mission at Heartstrings Crochet is to make beautiful and useful pieces that will fill a need in you and make you happy to own because you know they’re one of kind. You, my customer, can be assured of receiving a product that’s been meticulously crafted, carefully planned and executed with the upmost attention to detail and with the guarantee that if something’s not right, whatever the reason may be, that I will do whatever it takes to make you happy and earn your trust.
