I have been making things pretty much all my life. I had a very creative grandmother who taught me the love of crafting with my hands. She was a bit all over the place, and that's where I get it from. This used to exasperate me. One day I'd be writing songs faster than I could sing them, the next day I'd have to make paper in my blender (immediately). I change directions so quickly that at first I don't even know it has happened. I feel a sort of deer-in-the-headlights thing come over me, looking around at others as if to say, "What's happening? Weren't we on the train to... you know... Regularity??"

Jewelry making was something I started doing as a child at my grandmother's side, and kept doing into my early 20's. I've made my mother a special necklace for her birthday every year. I made myself a defining piece every time I felt like I needed to redefine me. I redefined me a lot. My mom works at a doctor's office, and when she would wear the pieces I made for her, she would get loads of compliments. I would get asked often if I would be selling my pieces. Through the years I have said, "Oh, anyone could do that. That's nothing special." But I have realized my eye sees what no one else's eye sees. So I am on a journey of finding self-worth.

Through the years I have fallen into traps of self-loathing, wondering, "Why can't I just pick something and master it? Why am I like this?" But I have found it to be a great strength. And now, I'm just going with it. So you'll find different things in my shop that are seemingly unrelated, eventually. They say to be successful on Etsy you should specialize in one thing. Well, I can't do that. So I'm not! I hope you find something that speaks to you.
