Life's too short to wear boring jewelry
I always loved jewelry. I always loved wearing it. I always loved how it was the one thing I put on that made me feel beautiful. Growing up as a chubby teen in the 90's, I didn't exactly have my pick of clothing to wear (anyone out there feel me?). My friends were mostly all slim and we would go to the mall and they would try on endless amounts of clothing. I was drawn to jewelry, shoes and bags because they mostly didn't discriminate based on size. I learned how to take jeans and a plain t-shirt and add shoes, jewelry and the right purse and feel that I looked as pretty as everyone else. I always used to modify what I bought though. Maybe swapping this chain for that one. Putting a certain pendant on a different beaded necklace. I was 'making' my own jewelry without really thinking about it. It's nothing remarkable, I think we all have done it from time to time. So when I was still in high school, I started to make my own jewelry from supplies I bought at craft stores. Then that snowballed, and I was making tons of jewelry,more than I would or could wear. That turned into doing festivals and local fairs and I did okay. Working full time and doing craft fairs was hard though. Fairs take so much time to prepare for, that I did some research and found Etsy and started my online shop. So when you buy a piece of jewelry from me, you're not buying something that was mass produced and put together on an assembly line. You're not buying chipped glass from who knows where and metal that is loaded with lead. You're buying something that I created with my two hands. You're supporting my business and my personal dream. You're allowing me to offer you unique pieces of jewelry that are affordable and I can only hope make you feel beautiful.
