• 100% Botanical jewelry from Nature and my plants that I propagate! And wax carvings that take weeks to make.

I have to forage for the natural object or propagate the plant, and then burn it out.

Or make a wax carving that can take weeks.

•All to make one piece of jewelry!

The solid sterling silver replica is a cast from real Nature Items or wax that I carve

✨Lost wax technique is when a mold is made around the plant or Wax Carving.

Then, it is baked in a kiln until the organic matter burns away (or the wax) and disintegrates. Molten silver is poured into the space centrifugally. The Mold gets Destroyed in the process of removing the silver casting. Therefore no two are ever alike!

I only use high quality sterling silver chains, lightweight, but, strong chains. I like to make jewelry that feels so good that you don't even know you're wearing it! This makes it easier to never want to take it off!

I'm a petite woman and could never find jewelry that fit so, when I was in college I took my first Silversmithing class and fell in love. Have 20 years experience in silversmithing.

I have a B.F.A. in Art. After graduating College, I studied Eco-Art on a Biological Field Station in Costa Rica.

Then I became a leather handbag designer in NYC. I worked for Ann Sui and was involved in NYC Fashion Week, Bryant park for multiple years. I also Designed accessories for GAP and other well known companies.

Heather's Feather is a name I chose for the shop, because my middle name is Heather, after my great grandfather Harry.

He was a Romanian who lived in Brooklyn and worked very hard, but was filled with a zest for life!

I chose Feather, because white feathers symbolize Hope for me and are very angelic. Hope is what made me, my past, and who I am today.
