Two sisters. Yarn. And a MISSION!
Hello everyone and greetings from Latisha and Angelenna, the sisters behind Heaven's Design Yarnworks! We both come from a large family full of crafters, artists, and lots of talent. With that being said, it's no wonder that we both have always been drawn to the creative world of making and creating handmade items with our hands.
We truly believe that God designed each of us for a reason. A purpose. A specific place and time in his grand design. God has given each of us a voice, talents, and gifts to play a part in something much greater than ourselves.
Working with yarn has been one of our shared passions since we were just girls. Through the years God has used this “gift” of ours to draw us closer to each other and to himself. He has truly taught us so much about himself as our great Designer each and every time we would gather our supplies and knit or crochet a new project. We did not know then that the Master Artist had a bigger picture in mind for us.
We have often been reminded of that verse in the Bible, "For you are God's masterpiece." Ephesians: 2:10 NLT time and time again as we’ve worked on our handmade items, and because this is one of our favorite things God has taught us through our knitting and crochet, this same verse became our statement, and now this statement has become our message we hope to share with those God puts within our reach.
And this is our message. Just as each and every item we make is unique, handmade, one of a kind, and specially designed with a specific purpose in mind, God in heaven is taking our lives day by day and knitting a beautiful tapestry. He has designed and handcrafted each person just the way that they are for a true reason. In short-You are Heaven’s Design.
It is the desire of our hearts to spread this truth God has taught to us with you and to all people. To encourage you to seek the purpose God has specifically designed you for. This is our mission.
With this mission God has also given us many ways to spread our message. One, being our ever growing passion for yarn. Thus the creation of Heaven’s Design Yarnworks. This is our way of using our God given talents as we feel he would have us use them.
God continues to stitch together every event in our lives each day. And some day we will be able to see how everything all fits together in his masterpiece. You are designed for something more. Handmade for a divine reason. We pray that God would help you to seek that reason for which you were designed. And that he would grant you the grace to fulfill it. That you would grow to love the way in which he purposely designed you, and you would each day get to know your “Designer” more and more. And most of all, that you would always remember that YOU are Heaven’s Design.
We want our shop to be more than just about sharing our hand knit and crochet items with others for them to enjoy, but to make it also to remind others through something as simple as our handmade items, that they are indeed Heaven's Design and a true treasure to God!
