Hebron Threads – Our Story
Hebron Threads began with a simple idea. In the face of a difficult economic reality in the West Bank, a group of women in Hebron came together to create opportunity with their own hands.
We are mothers, daughters, and caregivers. With limited job opportunities available to us, we turned to something we have known our whole lives: traditional Palestinian embroidery. This craft has been passed down through generations. We learned it from our mothers and grandmothers, stitch by stitch. What was once a tradition practiced at home has now become a way for us to help support our families.
Each piece you see in our shop is handmade with care. The patterns and colors reflect our heritage and our stories. No two items are exactly the same because each one is made by hand, slowly and thoughtfully.
Hebron Threads was started by Jason, the son of one of the women in our group. After seeing the skill and dedication behind this work, he wanted to help share it beyond our local community. He opened this Etsy shop to connect our embroidery with people around the world who value handmade craftsmanship and meaningful purchases.
All proceeds from this shop go directly toward supporting the continued work of these women and helping provide for our families. Your support helps cover everyday needs such as food, education, and healthcare, while also allowing us to preserve an important part of our cultural heritage.
When you purchase from Hebron Threads, you are supporting real families and real stories. Thank you for being part of our journey.
