About

The beginning...

I started off thinking that I wanted to be an oil portrait painter and ended up taking an elective metals class during college. I enjoy the rough, laborious, completely hands-on process of making jewelry and love the freedom to make anything from anything. While I am not making jewelry I am teaching middle and high school students about art. selling my handmade creations in a downtown shop (the greatest gift, Carlisle Pa) or running.
I make what I would wear rather than what might grab the most attention. Jewelry should be an accent and should be easy to wear. I typically focus on simple, classic, modern and streamlined designs and see each piece through to the very end. I do not work with the assistance of any machine (except for a power drill) and I cut, file, sand and polish all pieces by hand...this means that I do not have nice fingernails and my finger tips usually hurt! I appreciate truly handmade pieces that have been created from quality materials and that is what I will provide to my customers.
