Pets are Family
I find great happiness in taking something ordinary and turning it into something that will bring a little joy into the life of a pet owner. Animals are family for so many people around the world, and in a society where there can be so much adversity and hardship, Hello Stubby Lou's mission is to spark happiness and to celebrate the lives of animals, particularly those who haven't had the best start in life.
I'm involved with animal rescue and have a particular soft spot for the terribly misunderstood pit bull. When we became foster fails with Archie a few years ago, we began to experience the bullying that often comes with owning a pit bull type dog -- mostly because people have become fearful of these sweet animals due to the stories played out by media or irresponsible and neglectful pet owners.
We were determined to show people the joyful side of a happy, loved pit bull and began teaching Archie tricks. I also wanted to find a way to soften his appearance and began dressing him in cowls, hats, and collar accessories so people could see his goofy side. Although Archie crossed the Rainbow Bridge suddenly in summer 2018 and will never be able to be replaced, we are finding new joy in our rescue, Gibby, who is proving to be a fantastic ambassador for pit bulls everywhere.
I continue to support animal rescue and pitties in particular, but want to to help everyone celebrate the lives of their pet, large or small, through accessories and party wear. Pets are family and I know the deep love and bond one has with a beloved animal.
I hope you will find something here at Hello Stubby Lou that you and your pet will love. Every animal is special and deserves the best life can offer.
Sincerely,
Diane
