I design and crochet cute amigurumi!
Hi there and thank you for visiting my pattern shop.
My name is MJ and I reside in Sydney, Australia with my husband, my daughter and my son.
My crochet obsession began about 13 years ago when I knitted a beanie for my daughter but it was a plain and simple beanie. My daughter told me she wanted a flower on her beanie. So I searched the internet for tutorials on how to knit a flower but came across a tutorial on how to crochet a rose instead. I couldn't believe how easy it was to create! I had never crocheted before, and from that day, I was hooked (no pun intended) on crochet!
One day in my local bookstore, I stumbled upon a book on how to crochet dolls, so I started crocheting dolls for my little girl. Then I discovered the wonderful art of Amigurumi. Before I knew it, I was running out of places to store dolls and stuffed toys, and my house was filled with yarn. I don't think I've stopped crocheting since! I also enjoy making play food for my kids, and it fills me with joy seeing them have so much fun playing picnic with the toys I crochet for them!
My children are the ones who inspire me to crochet cute little things every day. They also help me name my amigurumi creations.
After working in the finance and legal industry for 15 years, I am now a proud full-time mum and working on something I am so passionate about. I get to create cute little things every day! I love my hobby, and now I love sharing my passion with all of you.
