Hey hey hey
Hey Hey hey, I am Audrey, the textile artist behind Hey Be Fab. I have always had a love of art from writing poetry to sketching, from splashing paint onto a canvas to photography and much more. Its has always been satisfying to be able to create something from your nothing but your imagination.
For me creating seems like it scratches the depths of my soul and pulls out all this yearning passion I carry which then somehow entwines itself into each piece I create. It is also very important to me that each doll, stuffed animal and even my embroider hoops becomes what they are suppose to be. What they choose to be. To do this, I allow myself to organically create them without patterns and I free hand sketch on their face, design and many details before hand embroidering them into place. I also use up cycled fabric from unused clothes to keep with their uniqueness.
I also started taking up watercolor embroidery which led me to find so much more depth in my art. It has been a joy allowing myself to create with no shame.
I have 3 kids, one 10 year old boy named Wyatt, a 5 year boy named Gunner and a 3 year old girl named Andalyn. (or Annie for short) They each spend a lot of time with me in my sewing room helping me create dolls, and choosing the paint for each hoop I create.
