Hey, I’m Nathan—the proudly neurospicy artist behind Hey Trouble Designs.

I live with ADHD, autism spectrum traits, anxiety, depression, sensory sensitivities, and a complicated relationship with food (I either snack through the stress or forget to eat until it’s suddenly 4pm). My brain is chaos—but it’s my chaos. I genuinely love how my mind works… most of the time.

What drains me? Masking. Pretending to be palatable. Shrinking myself to seem “normal” around neurotypical folks just to make them comfortable. That’s not the vibe here.

What started as sketching anxious squirrels and meltdown-prone raccoons turned into a creative space where the overstimulated, emotionally expressive, and snack-fueled could feel seen. Because let’s be real: some days, you are the trash panda.

At Hey Trouble Designs, I make emotionally honest animal art for folks who’ve ever cried over the wrong fabric, spiraled through a social hangover, or ghosted their group chat out of self-preservation. Some pieces are sassy, some are soft, and some just scream into the void—but all of them get it.

This shop is for the beautifully chaotic, the too-much-feelers, and the neurospicy crew. Unmasked, unfiltered, and completely welcome.
