Hi Focus Life was birthed from a desire to live fulfilling and successful lives. We have high ambitions in life and the more we thought about how to get there the more apparent the need for organization became. The more you have to do, the more intentional you have to be with your time. I heard Dave Ramsey share a qupte (I can't remember the original speaker) and it really stuck with me: "If you don't tell your money where to go, you'll wonder where it went." Isn't the same true with our time? How many of us have intended to take a little break and then clean the house, only to realize 3 hour have gone by? Where did the time go??
Our aim was to fix this problem. Seeing the need, we decided to make a day planner that would work really well for us. Like many people, our schedule is different every day, so we made a planner that can easily adapt. After we started creating a vision for a company, we realized there are many ways we can help people get organized and live more successfully. The key word is "efficiency." It's the ability to get high value,quality work done quickly. The more you have working correctly in your life, the easier it is to focus on work and thus become more efficient. It's like a snowball, the more it rolls the more it grows.
That's why we do what we do. All of our products are designed to help you in some way. They are practical. We are also getting certified in financial coaching and personal training so that we can directly aid people to a higher level. Plus, we will be starting a blog soon that covers many areas of healthy living that will help you create a more satisfying life for yourself and your family. The vision is to be a one-stop-shop for you to get all the tools you need to live well.
Here's a look at our process: I (Cameron) make the physical items, and Štěpi makes digital content. For now, Štěpi is in the Czech Republic, and when she visits the US she is prohibited from doing any physical work by labor laws. That will change when we get a visa and are finally able to get married. She is allowed to do work for the company so long as it is online. So, she designs covers and pages, and also runs our social media and will be in charge of our blog (coming soon!).
So how are your planners made? One of us designs the pages and spends hours meticulously arranging all the tiniest details so that they look as excellent as possible (Cameron spent more than 10 hours of pure design before being satisfied with the first version of the Timeline planner). When an order is placed, we put your initials on the template and print your custom pages right here in our office (currently my grandma lets us use her spare bedroom, which is also where I sleep when Štěpi visits). Then I hole punch every page and the covers by hand, insert the discs, and do a quality check to make sure everything is up to our high standards. Finally, I add the front cover. The covers are UV printed by CM Customs (go check them out at shopcmcustoms.com, they're great!) ahead of time so we have them on hand when you place an order, unless you order a custom cover. We typically can get your order made and to the post office on the day you order, as long as the order isn't late in the day.
