My Cannabis Career
Welcome to my Etsy shop, a culmination of a lifelong passion for cannabis and its remarkable journey. My story begins in the vibrant city of Ann Arbor, where as a first-year student, I discovered cannabis (at a Mary Ct. block party). It wasn’t just the plant that captivated me, but its profound ability to bring comfort and peace to those who consumed it.
Since that first joint at 18, I dedicated my life and career to the cannabis plant. My mission on this earth is to make sure people have access to cannabis, while supporting social equity, fighting for economic equality, and freeing those imprisoned for non-violent drug/cannabis offenses.
At 20 years old I was tasked with building Depot Town Dispensary in Ypsilanti, MI. From there, I went on to support Green Planet in Ann Arbor.
in 2013 I made the jump and moved to San Francisco, where I worked at SPARC (San Francisco Patient and Resource Center). I had the opportunity to work with those who were dearly close with Dennis Peron and the foundation of the medical cannabis movement in SF. After SPARC, I spent time opening a location for The Apothecarium, which provided me with a renewed sense of energy and passion for the industry.
After San Francisco, I moved to Chicago and worked with 4Front Ventures and Mission Dispensaries where I supported one of the longest running dispensaries East of the Mississippi river (Om of Medicine) and built the third dispensary in the state of Arkansas.
After 11 years in retail cannabis, I decided to make the biggest transition of my life from dispensary work, to SaaS technology. I've been with Dutchie since June of 2021, and currently support the Implementation Organization. My team is responsible for training and onboarding our dispensary/cultivation/processing partners onto the Dutchie platform. Our software supports over 6,000 rooftops across North America.
Needless to say, but Dutchie is the mechanism to help achieve my mission on this earth; enabling better access to cannabis. I'm exactly where I need to be.
This shop, High. Hello Apparel, is a tribute to this incredible journey – a story woven into every piece I create. Most strains that you'll see on these shirts were on a shelf of a dispensary I worked at
Welcome, and enjoy the essence of a journey rooted in passion and growth.
