HighlyCollectable

Ho iniziato a collezionare oggetti unici e belli quando la mia prozia mi ha lasciato nel suo testamento così tante delle sue cose adorabili che aveva amato la maggior parte della sua vita.
Era molto vecchia allora, e questo era quasi quarant'anni fa!
Dai suoi fantastici gioielli di cristallo ruggenti anni Venti, ai suoi piatti e set da tè limoges dipinti a mano nel 1912, ai suoi adorabili cappelli e vestiti, sapeva che li avrei amati tutti, e l'ho fatto.
Ma ora, tutti questi anni dopo, ho aggiunto così tanto alla mia "collezione" di cose uniche, che un anno durante un "blitz delle pulizie di primavera", ho capito che era giunto il momento di cercare di alleggerire il mio carico.
Poco dopo, ho scoperto Etsy e letteralmente una lampadina si è spenta.

Dato che ho ancora una carriera, sapevo che le vendite di tag a casa mia non sarebbero state possibili, e non mi piacciono molto i mercatini delle pulci, a meno che non stia facendo shopping - non vendendo.
Quindi, Etsy era la risposta.

Nel 2012, ho deciso di iniziare a separarmi da alcune delle mie cose preziose attraverso il mio nuovo negozio.
L'ho chiamato "Highly Collectable", perché è quello che penso che siano la maggior parte delle mie cose.

Spero che ti piaccia navigare nel mio "negozio di curiosità", e se vedi qualcosa che ti piace, sarei onorato di vendertelo con la speranza che rimanga con te per farti divertire per molti anni a venire.

Adoro sapere che qualcosa di mio, o di mia zia, e persino di mia madre, può effettivamente essere usato in una nuova casa, e alcuni potrebbero persino diventare di nuovo cimeli un giorno.

I started collecting unique and beautiful objects when my Great Aunt left to me in her will so many of her lovely things that she had cherished most of her life.
She was very old then, and that was nearly forty years ago!
From her cool roaring twenties crystal jewelry, to her hand painted 1912 Limoges dishes and tea sets, to her lovely hats and clothes, she knew I would cherish all of them, and I have.
But now, all these years later, I have added so much to my "collection" of unique things, that one year during a "spring cleaning blitz", I realized the time had come to try to lighten my load.
Shortly thereafter, I discovered Etsy and literally a light bulb went off.

As I still have a career, I knew that tag sales at my home would not be possible, and I am not really into flea markets, unless I am shopping -- not selling.
So, Etsy was the answer.

In 2012, I decided to begin to part with some of my precious things through my new shop.
I named it "Highly Collectable", because that's what I think most of my things are.

I hope you enjoy browsing my "curiosity shop", and if you see something you like, I would be honored to sell it to you with the hopes that it will stay with you for you to enjoy for many years to come.

I love knowing that something of mine, or my aunt's, and even my own mother's, may actually be used in a new home, and some may even become heirlooms again one day.
