My journey
I was born and grew up at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. I met my husband who is originally from San Diego, wanted to have a whole new experience in Japan in 1998. We moved to San Diego in 2004 and had a wonderful daughter together in 2008.
I am also a DIYer. My husband and I did a complete remodel of the house which was completed in 2013 March. I enjoy decorating the house so I started making my own art. I started to sell them because I wanted to share my visions with others. I see a lot of great painters, artisans, and creators on Etsy and I am so excited to be a part of it.
My inspiration comes from childhood memories and scenery that I grew up with. I spent a lot of time at my grandparents' house when I was a child. The house is more than 200 years old and known as a gathering house for the climbers of Mt. Fuji since a long time ago. Since my grandpa was a priest of Mt. Fuji, there was a private shrine in the backyard. The shrine had been always my favorite place to be and I came up with a lot of imaginary stories about it. I consider that my work is a reflection of modern vintage with a little bit of Japanese fairytale twist.
I also love Ocean, Nature, and plants and flowers. I enjoy spending time with my daughter and my little cute bunny.
Hope you enjoy my creation as much as I enjoy creating them!
Happy Etsying!
