I started out this journey over 19 years ago when I decided that I wanted to start sewing and that my first project would be a pair of hand sewn pants. Three months later I had a pair of black corduroy capris with pockets, belt loops, and a zipper. My mother saw my dedication and bought me my Kenmore sewing machine, which I still use to this day. Since then my style has evolved from selling patchwork dresses outside of festivals to burningman costumes (including dinosaurs and unicorns!) to super cozy yoga/dance clothes with a bit of personal flare. One of my favorite costuming moments was when I went to Joshua tree to rock climb and ended up staying through halloween weekend. I dressed up eight different people in full costume out of the bits of creation I had tucked away in my trunk!

One of the things I love about this work is that it matches my values. Almost all of the fabric that I use is rescued material, meaning a person or a store decided that for some reason (overstock, remnant material, or just making room for new arrivals), they don't want to sell it anymore. I swoop in before it gets to the landfill and make the beauties that you see here.

I find my bits of fabric on the road as i go, and see the potential whispering out of each one. Each piece is one of a kind lovingly stitched by yours truly.
