Announcement    ➽ Thank you for supporting a small rural, family-owned business with big dreams! Every piece is lovingly printed by hand with real ink and elbow grease in the heartland with artisan, historic printing methods. Each print is a unique one-of-a-kind piece.

It's a privilege to occupy this fifth-generation farmland and be making these prints in my late grandfather's old studio in rural Indiana.

I love the accidental, rustic nature of the prints - like halfway between industrial and farmhouse. And of course, I get geeked over the use of fonts, typography, and antique wood type that reminds me of early to mid-century design. It's so much fun to participate in this historic, and now artisan, craft.

➽ INK + TYPE + HOPE. Artisan printed typographic posters.

After nearly fifteen years in a career I loved, life drastically changed in the turmoil of 2020 and I found myself returning to the family farm in Indiana with my young family, looking for new ways to make beautiful things for people and using the skills I had developed.

My prints are crafted in small batches using a combination of vintage and make-shift techniques to craft one of a kind handmade letterpress prints. The scarcity and expense of original historic supplies and materials has required innovation and some Hoosier elbow-grease to bring these prints to completion. The laborious process is incredibly rewarding - seeing hand-made, physically present, and delightfully imperfect works that reveal the hand and process of the artist and knowing that it will get to hang in someone's space and hopefully inspire them.

Ink, slightly piled and raised on the paper, impressions from the strain on the paper, printed in rural Indiana with the smell of corn, fertile soil, and old wood in the air.

Imperfect and personal, I love the physical presence of these pieces - smudges, dents, rough edges, and all. Each print is completely unique from the others in the edition - a wonderful artifact of the manual printmaking process.

After nearly 15 years in a career I loved, I returned to the Indiana family farm in the wake of 2020. I am excited to focus on artisan letterpress printing in this new season. Surrounded by corn and Hoosier hospitality I print, and sweat, and hope.

Frequently asked questions
Sizing details

All my prints are a standard paper size at 12 x 18 inches or 12 x 12 inches. These fit in standard frames you can find in stores and online. Some Premium prints include a deckled (ragged edge) which makes the paper slightly larger. A deckled edge piece may either be trimmed to size, or framed with a floating mount to display the edge.

Some papers may be hand-trimmed from larger stock, resulting in small paper size variations.

Care instructions

Prints are not hard to take care of, and some simple steps will help extend their life.

Like all works on paper, it is best to display them in environments without a lot of humidity shifts. (For instance, I wouldn't hang them outside or in your bathroom.)

All pigments will eventually fade, and more quickly so when exposed to direct sunlight. I use high quality materials, but extended UV light exposure will eventually cause fading. I recommend having your print displayed in an area where sunlight will not directly touch the print. Using a UV safe glass (or some acrylic glass) can slow this fading process.

Finally, use acid free board, tape, and glues when displaying your print to avoid yellowing the paper.
