The better host lies in the details.
Der bessere Gastgeber steckt im Detail
hostgadgets was created from a 3D printer and two questions that hosts constantly hear.
The first question is: "What's the Wi-Fi password?" It's written on a note on the fridge, in the house information folder, and sent via WhatsApp, yet it's asked every single time. The second question the host poses to themselves is: How do you politely ask for a Google review without seeming pushy?
Both problems can be solved with a small sign. Each of my signs contains an NFC chip: Guests simply hold their phone to it and are connected to the Wi-Fi network without having to type in a password. Or they are taken directly to the review form instead of having to search for it themselves. Those who don't use NFC can scan the printed QR code. Both options work without an app.
Each sign is manufactured on my own 3D printer in Germany, individually made to order. Therefore, color, text, and target link are not extra charges, but rather standard practice: You provide me with your login details or review link, and the sign is manufactured and programmed accordingly. If your Wi-Fi password changes later, the chip can be reprogrammed, and the sign remains functional.
Hostgadgets starts with these two signs. More small items for vacation rentals, guesthouses, and bed and breakfasts are in the works. If you're missing something, feel free to contact me.
