Q: How long does it take?

A: Custom pet paintings take 1 - 4 weeks to complete, depending on the size and complexity.


Q: How will I get all of my animals to sit for a photo?

A: For paintings featuring more than one animal, it is NOT necessary that you have a picture of the animals together. Individual photos of each pet you'd like to feature will work perfectly fine, and I can paint them all together in the same space.

Q: What if I don't like my portrait?

A: BEFORE I ship your portrait painting, I will send you a picture proof of the finished piece via the email you provide to Etsy at checkout. You will have 1 week to respond & request changes. I'll make any necessary edits so that you are happy :)

Due to life, I've recently had to downsize my business and living space, which has resulted in the need to cut out certain aspects of Hound Made. Unfortunately, the grooming products required the most space (in terms of product inventory, tools, and raw ingredients), so they have had to be put on pause for a bit.

Maybe, maybe not. If you're purchasing more than one item from me, you could qualify for lower shipping costs by combining both products into one box (depending on total weight & dimensions).

If you are ready to check out but unsure about the shipping costs, please send me a message so that I can review your order & give you the most accurate quote for shipping.

If you've already made your purchase-- no worries! When applicable, I always refund any shipping overages of $1+ back to the buyer-- you don't even need to ask :)

That depends-- have you already emailed me pictures of your beloved fur babies & purchased the listing? If so, then yes, I'm afraid it is too late.

Because these orders take a long time & a few layers of paint, I typically start your order within hours of your purchase. As soon as you send me the reference photos, the transaction is fixed & cannot be canceled.

Conversely, if you've purchased the listing but haven't yet sent me photos of your doggos, then I haven't started your order and you may still cancel.

Although I put great care into packaging your order, accidents via USPS can occur. Luckily, your painting is insured against loss or damage during transit, which means you will be eligible for a refund.

Please note that I will need photos of the parcel damage (outside packaging) AND photos of the product damage in order to file an insurance claim. Furthermore, you must not throw away any packaging until the claim is processed and approved.

I will happily re-paint your portrait if you choose to re-order. Please note that the new painting will not be identical to the previous one, as no two are exactly the same :)

If the tracking on your order shows as "delivered", but the parcel is nowhere to be found, please try the following:

1. confirm that the address on your order is correct
2. check around bushes and side doors to see if it was concealed by the postal worker
3. ask family members and/or neighbors if they've seen the package and taken it in
4. wait 48 hours (sometimes mail carriers will prematurely mark the order as "Delivered")
5. contact me so that I can personally speak with the USPS in order to locate your package.

Please note that parcel insurance will not cover mail theft, so a refund cannot be issued in such cases. Please be sure that you have a safe area to receive your mail, and I can also ship it signature required upon request.
