A little story about me...
Håfa Adai oder Hallo! Mein Name ist Azia (ausgesprochen „Asia“), und ich bin die Gründerin und Inhaberin von Hunny Threads. Geboren und aufgewachsen auf der Insel Guam, begann meine Leidenschaft fürs Nähen im Alter von fünf Jahren mit kleinen, handgenähten Projekten und entwickelte sich zu einer lebenslangen Liebe zum Gestalten. Mit 17 bekam ich meine erste Nähmaschine und habe mein Handwerk seither über 10 Jahre lang verfeinert. Dabei entdeckte ich auch die Kunst des Häkelns und fand Freude daran, handgefertigte Stücke zu entwerfen, die Kreativität, Sorgfalt und kulturelle Inspiration vereinen.
2021 gründete ich Hunny Threads, um meine Leidenschaft mit anderen zu teilen. Was als persönliches kreatives Ventil begann, hat sich zu einer Marke entwickelt, die sich der Herstellung einzigartiger, handgefertigter Artikel verschrieben hat – mit viel Liebe zum Detail und einem Hauch von Insel-Flair. Jedes Stück ist sorgfältig gestaltet, um Wärme, Charakter und Charme in den Alltag zu bringen.
Hunny Threads, mit Sitz in Texas, ist ein kleines, aber wachsendes Unternehmen, das ich mit der Unterstützung meines Mannes Sean aufgebaut habe. Er bringt seine Expertise in der Produktfotografie und seine Erfahrung auf lokalen Pop-up-Märkten ein. Born and raised on the island of Guam, my passion for sewing began at the age of five with small hand-stitched projects and grew into a lifelong love for creating. By 17, I received my first sewing machine and have continued to refine my craft for more than 10 years. Along the way, I also discovered the art of crochet and found joy in designing handmade pieces that combine creativity, care, and cultural inspiration.
In 2021, I launched Hunny Threads to share that passion with others. What began as a personal creative outlet has grown into a brand dedicated to offering unique, handcrafted items made with attention to detail and a touch of island influence. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to bring warmth, character, and charm to everyday life.
Now based in Texas, Hunny Threads is a small but growing business built with the support of my husband, Sean, who contributes his skills in product photography and at local pop-up markets.
