I've been interested and involved in art since childhood. I loved draw as a kid and took art lessons from a well-known local artist. I learned to sew in middle school, majored in art in HS, but shortly after put art on the "back burner" for many years. I received a BA in English Lit. with a minor in Photography in my thirties, and concentrated on photography. My work was shown nationally, and published, but now I take photos just for pleasure. I was employed as a free-lance theater wardrobe supervisor for 20+ years, and upon moving to Delaware I'm now concentrating on my craft full-time.

Almost 15 years ago, I became intrigued with the craft of knitting, and decided to learn. It's fascinating that so much beauty and variety can be created with two "sticks" and two simple stitches. The almost limitless variety of fiber types and colors is a universe of delicious sensory experiences. Hand knit and felted accessories are a large part of my line.

For the past 7 years I've been experimenting with the craft of Felting: Wet felting, nuno felting and needle felting, produce beautiful Art To Wear pieces, fine art and home decor. I love to experiment with unusual materials, sometimes including them in my pieces. Recently, I've been learning and creating using the Eco Dyeing process. No chemical mordants are used in this process, and I'm able to use many types of foliage that I grow.

For me, working with my hands, heart and head to create something beautiful and useful is a very satisfying experience. I participate in many juried shows throughout the year, and always enjoy meeting people and talking to them about my work. I find that people love hearing about the processes I use and are very keen on supporting local artisans and products.
