Illuminated Objects are inspired by the era of electrification and the astonishing changes it wrought.
By liberating objects from obscurity and and bringing them to life in newly illuminated form, Dr. White's work evokes the remarkable power of light to to fix our gaze, free our thoughts, and be at the heart of our thinking, dreaming, and making.
Dr. White's first luminary creations began in 2013 with gifts to friends and family. The pieces became quickly very popular; so much so that it was taken on as a full-time occupation in 2016, with the formation of Illuminated Objects LLC. Illuminated Objects are now regularly exhibited at at shows and festivals, in local shops and online, where they have proven highly sought after.
Each Illuminated Object is carefully designed and assembled, with great care taken to ensure their reliability and beauty. Most pieces are crafted by Dr. White; any work performed by our laboratory assistants is carefully supervised, inspected and tested by the Doctor himself before any Object is released to the general public. Most pieces are numbered to trace their origin and date of creation.
They are shipped with great care with an accompanying Certificate of Authenticity and information and instructions on their origin, use and care.
