stopped once overnight but I got it going again. seems to be standard paketa soviet movement but includes seconds hand which my others don't have. That being the case the hours and minutes are shown by 1 rotating ring, and 1 rotating solid circle. The solid circle is the hour hand, it rotates 360 degrees every 12 hours. as such, it covers a gold orb (sun) at the 12 position and a silver orb (moon?) at the 6 position. That doesn't represent any astronomical situation, so the movement is just for a pretty display. It's not a day/night indicator or a phase watch. For the price you shouldn't think so. As long as it keeps running I'm pleased, the face is very well done and sparkly and nice to look at. The coloration is quite nice.
