Where did the name Imperfect Dust come from?
Our shop name was prayed over for awhile, and was truly a "God send". At the time, I was strictly working with repurposed picture frames that I would turn into chalkboards. Lettering scripture became my passion, because the past year of my life had been transformed by reading the bible. I had spent years running from my faith, and the Lord graciously brought me back to Him through His written word!
Psalm 103:14 says He knows our frame, He remembers we are dust. Also, in the verse just before that, it talks about how compassionate He is towards us. No matter how far we have gone astray, no matter what we have done, our Father is always there with open arms. He knows how imperfect we are, and shows great compassion towards us by giving us life through His son Jesus!
So I say all of that to say, I'm just an imperfect piece of dust in this ginormous galaxy that my God created, and He loves me anyway! I'm forever in debt to Him and pray my work glorifies His name!
The fact that I work with imperfect wood/frames and sling chalk/saw dust around is just a cool thing God threw in there for laughs!
