Our mission is to preserve and share the authentic colors of Mexico with the world
Originally from Mexico I am a mother of two children now living in Germany since 2002. Throughout my life I have studied and worked in a variety of careers, mostly in customer service and management. I moved from the USA to Germany where I started my family, experiencing the precious gift of motherhood when a desire to express my cultural pride developed. Originating from my own creative space of inspiration I wanted to pass the inheritance of cultural pride to my children.
I enrolled in jewelry and textile classes and soon began designing unique pieces of jewelry inspired by my Mexican cultural roots with additional influences from the two other countries I have lived. My personal hobby of cultural expression rapidly became my artistic passion. Initially friends requested pieces but soon I was exhibiting and selling my jewelry at numerous museums, craft shows and galeries.
When traveling in Mexico with my artistic side awakened I realized the numerous indigenous women artisans, designers, and artists could benefit from a wider audience to showcase their handicraft. Through an active support in fair-trade we could form a partnership in preserving our traditions and culture expressed through art. As a jewelry designer and handcrafter I admire and assign high value to the unique handmade pieces of work which are an expression of the identity and feelings of the people who create them.
Although I have lived outside of Mexico for many years I have maintained an identity rich with Mexican roots. I have been a Mexican-American and now a Mexican-German where regional influences have expanded my Latina persona but have influenced by regional communities with Mexican culture and values. Connecting with my roots and culture through the work I do with the indigenous women and artists in Mexico gives me the joy, passion, and strength to continue my personal journey. I travel to Mexico every year and have the opportunity to meet and work with great people and souls who represent my culture and values.
What I show here is a little part of them.
