Good things come in small packages!
One day a little package arrived in the mail from my son. Tucked inside was a gum ball machine prize, a silly little monkey in his own little plastic bubble. I laughed and thought it was cute (my son is in his 30s, but having a sense of humor is highly prized in our family).
I kept this crazy little plastic monkey on my table where I photograph items for my other Etsy shop.
One day I realized that the monkey was exactly one inch long. I thought to myself how cute it would be to use the inch monkey instead of a ruler to show the size of tiny items. Then I took it a step further and thought it would be interesting to create a shop where all of the items are one inch or less in size. That is how the Inch Monkey Shop was born.
My partner and I come across so many teeny tiny treasures in our weekly picks. It is both fun and challenging to find great vintage pieces for the Inch Monkey to present to our shoppers. From a $4 bakelite button, to a $300 pair of vintage Georg Jensen earrings, you never know what The Inch Monkey will find.
Our shop was created in July of 2013, so we are still growing.
