All Roads Led Me Here and I Love it!
Hey Indulgers!
My name is Stephanie and I absolutely love making hair and skin care products. Ever since I was a child, I concocted and made recipes used by myself as well as family and friends. I was always very artistic. So following in the footsteps of my Uncle Sidney, who was a dynamic hair stylist, I enrolled in Gordon Phillips Beauty School located in Philadelphia. It was there that I learned so much about hair and skin. I’m grateful for the teachers that went above and beyond the given curriculum to make sure we were well-versed in the field.
After several years in the industry working as a stylist and nail technician, I decided to pursue a degree in Psychology with a minor in education. After graduating from Temple University, I taught elementary school while attending grad school. Because of my background as an artist, I also taught art to youths in the inner city. I eventually started a children’s art and furniture business and employed at-risk teens and taught many about entrepreneurship.
Always loving a challenge, I later combined my love of art and baking (yup, baking) and opened up a bakery. I absolutely loved my time as a cake artist! You can find me on the Willy Wonka episode of CAKE WARS assisting one of my closest friends! A dream come true!
But guess what? Through all of this, I still created hair and skin care products. That never changed. All these paths I took lead me to Indulgence. Through art, I learned how to my own design labels. My experience with pastries helped me style our products for photoshoots. My research experience while pursuing a PhD allows me to gather data from my customers about what their needs and desires are for an effective beauty regimen. Interactions with individuals of so many walks of life help me to provide the best customer service I can provide.
In addition to the above, I am mother to one son, my miracle child, who is now an adult (but he’ll always be my baby lol), a wife to an amazing husband, Sean (who is head of shipping at Indulgence) and a full time caregiver for my mother who suffers from severe dementia.
