F**k. The Game started in 2014 after watching Stephen Fry's Planet Word documentary. He and Brian Blessed were doing the Stroop Test — saying the colour of the word, not the word itself. Then they added swear words. Both of them couldn't do it. They were crying with laughter. I'd never seen that kind of reaction before.
A few days later I was given a card game as a gift and remembered how great social games are — the peer pressure, the good-natured tormenting, the actual face-to-face chaos.
As a graphic designer, I had the skills to make it happen. Months of testing went into getting it right — the ratio of colours to swear words, the right contrast for poor lighting, rules that are easy to learn but make great gameplay.
We launched on Kickstarter in May 2015 with over 500 backers and have been printing, shipping, and breaking brains ever since.
Now we're Inkster Games. Same chaos, still designed in Perth, Australia.
