Fashion + function in harmony.
I had always been creating since I was a little kid. I remember my mom making Halloween costumes and thinking that was the coolest thing ever. (One year she was a tube of Preparation H - the "cap" was a lampshade, and another year she made exact replicas of Marge and Homer Simpson out of foam that were so amazing I am still blown away by them.) Innad started in 2004 while I was taking sewing classes from a designer in Milwaukee called Fashion Ninja. Her passion for creating really inspired me to continue on my learning adventure so I transferred to the University of Wisconsin - Madison. In 2009, I graduated with a degree in textile design. Always wanting to be self-employed and not finding many opportunities for design employment in my city, I decided to take Innad out of the studio, and onto the streets. Since 2010, I have been driving, lifting, sharing, and networking at the many great indie craft shows that Midwest has to offer. In my day job I work as a tailor, so sewing has become not only a daily activity, but necessary for my life. I hope you enjoy the goods of Innad as much I do creating them.
