Product designer of 38 years
I have been designing products for industry for well over 38 years. As a Mechanical Engineer I started my career at Motorola Cellular working to design the very 1st cell phones. I have worked in Consumer, Aerospace, Medical and Military industries and have learned something new every single day. I have been a Director of Engineering for over 10+ years and have never lost the passion for design.
That said, I have always designed products for others and not until I opened this Etsy store, have I had a chance to design products for myself that I can also share with others. Product design has been my career and and blessed to say, also my hobby. I design products that bring me joy and back to my youth and give me the opportunity to share some joy with other people like you.
All my products are designed in CAD, printed in my basement, assembled, packaged and shipped out by myself. I will only launch a new product if it meets my standards for strength, reliability, function and esthetics. Industrial design is a big part of what I employ in my creations. I strive to always follow the form, color, textures and overall design language of the parent part I am designing the accessory for such that it does not look like an afterthought and ideally blends into each "system" as naturally as possible.
Most of my items are of course retro gaming themed and that is because I am just trying to relive some of my much younger happy times. I try to design items that either do not exist (like old replacement parts) , enhance/fix things that I felt were never really designed right in the first place or just expand what a great product already can do but now it can do it even better.
