Inspire Yourself Inspire Others
One of the first things I ever sold on Etsy was a Quaker Oats cookie jar. The woman who purchased it had been searching for one like it for ten years! Can you imagine the joy she must have felt to finally hold that cookie jar in her hands? To place it on the shelf with pride and say, “Finally, it’s mine.” It inspired me. How could it not? What else were people longing for? And what else did I have that I could share? I started selling more of my mother’s old collected treasures, as well as cool vintage jewelry I picked up, hand dyed beads and art supplies, and assorted other odds and ends that I’d made or found. And people bought them.
Cross stitch and jewelry are two of my favorite pastimes. I remembering being inspired to dye beads after examining an old necklace of my mother’s. I found some beads and carefully dyed them to use as needle minders. Once again her sweet collections had aroused my imagination, and that’s what I want to do for you. As you browse jewelry findings, hand dyed beads, old books and postcards, and all the beautiful little treasures that fill my shop, be inspired. Buy a handful of fanciful charms, a vintage necklace, some delightful gramma earrings, and some buttons and make something beautiful just for you! And who knows? Maybe you’ll inspire someone else!
