How I became inspired
I've always loved design. Even as a small child, I'd be drawn to clever packaging, colorful logos and unique graphics. Back in 1982 when the Milwaukee Brewers were in the World Series, (yes, I'm a Wisconsin girl) I noticed the (now retro) Milwaukee Brewers logo and for the first time looked at it long enough to realize that the baseball glove-shaped logo was actually the letter "m" and letter "b." I was amazed. This was so cool—it planted a seed that led me to pursue a career in graphic design.
While earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, I fell in love with my calligraphy and typography classes. I started appreciating letterforms as art in and of themselves.
Fast forward several years...
In October of 2014, I was encouraged to participate in a artisan marketplace for a women's Christmas event at my church. I created framed pieces and was very encouraged by the response of those who visited my shop. It was at this point that I thought more and more about opening up an Etsy shop and making digital prints of my designs available to a wider audience.
So, here I am... almost five months and a lot of work later... very excited to be sharing my designs on Etsy! I'm inspired by so many things... colors, fonts, seasons ... things I see everyday. I love home decor and "decorating" with simple items that are meaningful. I love and am inspired by God's word. I love seeing it in my home. I love making God's word into beautiful and meaningful works of art that can be displayed here. Everything I design is a reflection of my style for the simple and elegant ... I think about what I would like to place in my home and hope that you will feel the same.
