No Speed Limits Snacking Story
Being a nationwide road warrior for close to 15 years, I spent thousands of hours behind the windshield. There was no greater highlight than seeing that my favorite pitstop billboard letting me know that I was close to the greatest gas station experience one could ever imagine. For those of you who know, you know. Am I right?
Hundreds of gas pumps, impeccable restrooms, fresh-brewed coffee with all the fixin's, smell of BBQ brisket sandwiches, and boutique-inspired gifts to bring home to Aunt Sally. Not to mention the tempature controlled irresistible jerky bar, roasted nuts, chocolate covered everything, chips, and pre-packaged candy. HEAVEN on EARTH for the tired and weary.
There are those who think this oversized pit-stop chain is 'nice.' They don't get the hype. Then there are those (like me!) who are ADDICTED to the well-thought out concept, the culture of hospitality, and the endless snack and merchandise possibilities. But...when you're a super-fan and live too far away from your favorite Texas-sized snack shop, you go into withdrawals.
This is what happened to me! At the time, I didn't actually live near this beacon of a behemoth, I would stock up while on my travels and bring back home the goodness. Pretty soon, I was taking orders for snacks, t-shirts, tumblers, and even fudge.
Yes, I was a mule. A snack mule.
So, there it was. An idea born out of necessity. Interstate Snax was created for those that crave all things snacky & flavorful, for those that need their fix at all costs, for those who haven't gotten the joke yet, and for those that need a fresh gift-giving idea to celebrate every occasion.
