An Intuitive Beginning...
Approximately 8 years ago, a friend was going through a difficult time with breast cancer. She was undergoing chemotherapy, and I kept thinking I'd like to help in some way. The thought came to mind that perhaps having something to hold on to, to meditate on while undergoing the treatments, might help. I was wandering through downtown Toronto and came across a bead shop, where I found a book called "A String and a Prayer: How to Make and Use Prayer Beads" by Eleanor Wiley. Inspired, I went about finding a number of beads that felt right, intuitively, and created a bracelet for my friend to wear and use while undergoing chemo. My friend was touched, and ended up passing on the bracelet to other friends who were undergoing cancer treatments and encouraging me to make more jewellery.
The name Intuitive Jewellery came from my early days designing custom jewellery pieces. I seemed to have a knack for choosing the exact stone or design that a customer was looking for, often carrying over into the esoteric meanings of those gems. Thus, my "intuitive" choices became Intuitive Jewellery!
