I stumbled upon my true passion for invitations when I had the opportunity to join a bespoke wedding invitation company. The moment I delved into the art of invitation design, I fell head over heels in love. The interplay of layout, typesetting, color choices, paper textures, and the intricate layering of elements fascinated me. Each component played a vital role in crafting a masterpiece that set the tone and captured the essence of the entire event.
Living in Malaysia, a vibrant and multicultural country, I had the opportunity to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and witness how different cultures approached weddings. It was incredible to see how each culture's values, traditions, and perspectives were intricately reflected in their wedding invitations. This exposure further fueled my passion and deepened my appreciation for the power of an invitation to capture the essence of an event.
Through my experience, I noticed that many design options we crafted during each project went unseen. Hours of creativity, meticulous work, and heartfelt effort were poured into each alternative, only to have one chosen and the rest cast aside. It wasn't because the unchosen options were any less deserving; it was simply the nature of the decision-making process.
