Isabel Pots
My name is Isabel and I'm originally from the West of Scotland, but now living in Sydney's beautiful Northern Beaches for almost 20 years. I throw and kiln fire most of my pieces in my home studio, looking out over the big gum trees that border the garden. I'm also lucky to be part of a beautiful local artistic community of potters and sculptors who meet regularly to share ceramics skills and experiences.
I've always been fascinated by the process of throwing clay on the wheel to make beautiful and unique objects and when I had the chance to throw my first funny, wonky little pot I was hooked! That was in 2016 and I've been making and learning ever since. My aim is to make special objects that are lovely to look at, feel nice to hold in your hands and designed to be used everyday in your kitchen or on your table. I hope the happiness I feel when I make them somehow makes its way into the clay and from me to you.
