As a hobby I make a limited number of walking, trekking & hiking sticks & staves from hazel, holly, blackthorn & willow. The staffs are sourced from correctly coppiced supplies local to me in beautiful South Wales. My constant companion & partner in crime is my best friend (& border collie) Meg. We have walked more miles than I can calculate in woods, forest, field, highland, lowland, river bank & canal tow path.
Each stick is unique & is different in colour, weight and design. Dried naturally before being protected and stained with multiple coats of boiled linseed oil, Danish Oil, beeswax and polyurethane for protection against the elements. They can have various ferrules and spikes for grip and protecting the end. I can make to order (length, ferrule, wriststrap - do you want leather or para cord? which in turn allows choice of multiple colours).
I am happy to do commissions, length, colour, style & even split sticks to unscrew & carry in luggage, rucksack in car or on bike!

thank you for your review, happy you are pleased; I like the birch as the patina is rather unique & it’s a solid but lightweight stick. Give it a coat of beeswax every autumn & it will serve you well for many years. No need to this year asi gave it a coat before sending
