I'm a crafter, maker & artist with a passion for creating unique items with a quirky, whimsical, southwestern & boho style. My embroidery, hoop art, knits & jewelry are one-of-a-kind creations using the best fibers & materials. Each piece is hand-crafted by me & has its own distinct personality. My typography prints are printed on the highest quality papers with archival inks so you can enjoy your print for many years to come. I love to experiment with colors & textures & am enthusiastic about bringing colorful happiness to you & your home!
ABOUT MY SHOP NAME
What's "Islay’s Terrace?" The shop name is inspired by my darling three-legged cat, Islay (pronounced eye-lah), who is named after a Scottish island. Islay overseas all creations here on The Terrace, which is also well stocked with cat toys so she’s constantly entertained and knows to keep her feisty little paws off my real craft materials and products.

WHERE I GOT MY START
I have always been craft-obsessed. I blame my mother. She’s the one who handed me my first puffy paints and told me to get busy. And get busy I did! I hand-craft each item with lots of love here in my studio. I'm always learning new skills and my fingers are always active - whether it's listening to music or watching TV, I always have a project going.
INSPIRATION
Where does my inspiration come from? I LOVE playing with colors and mixing and matching to create new combinations. I aim to offer happy, colorful home decor to brighten spaces. I take a lot of inspiration from the 3 years I spent living in the southwest... the mix of desert and sunset are my favorite.
