An isoline connects points of equal value — the contours on a topographic
map, the depth soundings on a nautical chart, the line where a lake meets
its shore. It's the oldest way we have of drawing a place honestly.
Isoline Studio makes minimalist map art from real cartographic survey data.
Not traced by hand, not approximated. When we render a lake you get its true
shoreline plus the watershed feeding it — the creeks and rivers that actually
flow into that water. When we render a river you get the main stem and the
tributary system around it.
That's the difference. Most map prints give you a silhouette. We give you
the system.
We have data for more than 117,000 US waterways — the small ones too, which
means the pond your family has gone to for forty years is very likely in
there. If it isn't already a listing, we'll make it: custom orders come from
the same pipeline and are proofed before anything is printed.
Everything ships on museum-quality matte stock, printed in the USA.
