I'm Kate, the crochet designer behind ItWasYarn. I create modern crochet patterns with a special love for texture and thoughtful details. Lately, I've been especially inspired by modular crochet designs, rich stitch textures, and mosaic crochet.
My design journey began with lightweight lace summer hats, and over the years I've expanded into colorful accessories, including striped scarves, shawls, bags, motifs, and other accessories. I especially enjoy playing with color and designing texture-rich crochet projects with beautiful stitch patterns, from airy lace to bold stripes and mosaic motifs.
