5 out of 5 starsThis was a perfect purchase! It took me a while to decide on this piece but there's just something very calming and serene about it. It's big and so gorgeous irl; I'm so glad I got it. Ivie was incredibly helpful throughout the process. Can't wait to frame this! ^^

About IvieA
"Yeye jump wata!" Translation? “Yeye (my nickname) wants to jump or has already jumped in the water”.
This would go on to be the defining sentence of my early years. I grew up on the West African coast of Benin and Nigeria and I had been given my first taste of the ocean at the tender age of 1. It ignited an intense spark in me much to the surprise of everyone. I would scream this phrase to all and any who cared to listen whenever I sensed a body of water or had just been seriously dragged out of one.
My enthusiasm stood out because, in most African communities, there were and still are many myths, superstitions, and traditions around large bodies of water which sadly kept many from basking in its wonders.
Years later, at the age of 5 and with the help of my mother, I drew my very first Victoria’s Secret fashion model, and this "magical" ability to create what I saw but more importantly what I wanted to see blew me away and would stay with me all my life.
Hi, I’m Ivie (pronounced “eve - yay”) an illustrator based in France and I make coastal art pieces celebrating women outdoors to liven and brighten up your space.
I hope you enjoy every piece as much as I did making them.
