I’m Jessica and this is the story behind JBD. While in my junior year of college, I started working at a local embroidery shop and fell in love with the art of machine embroidery. It was truly my happy place. The joke has always been that had I found it my freshman year, I would have probably dropped out and worked there for the rest of my life. The sounds of the machines, watching the designs come to life, and being a part of the final product all made my heart inexplicably happy. Sadly, I had to quit when I began my senior internship. For years, I’ve wanted to purchase an embroidery machine and, for my 33rd birthday, my husband encouraged me every step of the way to get the embroidery machine I was ready for. 1 1/2 years and a quarantine later, I’m finally making items for others to enjoy. to embroider projects for others. I have been selling through Facebook and Instagram for a few months and decided I wanted to expand my business and knew Etsy was the best way to do that. I am a new shop but I look forward to working with you all and thank you for supporting a dream I’ve had for a long time.
