The Story Behind JB Handmades
JB Handmades started in fall of 2012. I was newly married and moved to a new city. I was looking for a creative outlet.
I received a gift of $100 to use specifically for my ideas of children accessories. I started with felt flowers and sold in a local store as well as to a few family members and friends.
The next fall I was no longer working full-time, but home with a newborn baby. I picked up the glue and felt, but this time added a bag of scrap leather. I made a few bows and posted on my personal Instagram. I sold 10 bows to friends that day, and a few more the next day!
I decided to open this shop a month later.
I love creating and try my best to create original designs through the colors I choose, fabric combinations, and the way I photograph my products.
I love collaboration and I sincerely believe there is room for all of us in this creative space.
