However, there was the option to select as a gift where price would not be written on packaging and a gift note would be included for the recipient, at no additional charge. The price was written on the packaging and the note was not included, but since there was no additional charge I don’t care. Just note that if this is a gift for someone else you may want to send it to yourself to scratch out price and include your own gift note. This could have been a fault of the app or maybe the seller missed the gift option, idk. All in all, great product!

Are butterflies harmed to make the jewelry?
No, absolutely not. All butterflies are ethically sourced after passing naturally. Obtaining butterflies from farms in this manner protects and preserves species, creates economic growth and sustainability which results in less cash cropping (saves rainforests). Please see my "shop announcement" section for further detail.
Care instructions
Avoid showering, bathing, swimming in butterfly jewelry. Rings can be worn while washing hands, however best practice is to remove them. Do not bend laminated wings.
Non-butterfly metal pieces can be polished with a non abrasive jewelry cloth or cleansed with mild soap and water, then dried thoroughly.
With all pieces I recommend placing it on after lotions and perfumes. The general rule of thumb is jewelry is the last thing on and the first thing off in your routine.
Gift wrapping and packaging
items are delivered individually rolled in decorative tasteful tissue paper and sealed with the J.Bird's Perch logo sticker. Each jewelry piece is hangs from logo stamped card stock which also holds a business card explaining the conservation process, and a card with a picture and brief description of the butterfly species the piece was made from.
Wine charms will come with a card which explains the conservation process, and a burlap cinch sac to store the charms in. Species cards not provided.

See product descriptions. As each product is a creature of nature and or handmade, please allow for slight sizing and wing pattern/color variations or imperfections. I do use grade A1 quality wings, which are the best in quality, and perfect to near perfect condition.
